This past summer I was fortunate enough to travel for three months. I spent a month in Newport, Rhode Island and two months in Austria and Italy. I had a fabulous trip eating and drinking my way through these cities and countries. I was doing what the Romans do, especially in Italy. My trip through Italy went well for about two weeks, until I started suffering from hypoglycemia. I wasn’t used to the diet in Italy, and I was getting sicker and weaker after eating meals and drinking coffee and wine. I couldn't even hike after awhile—one of my great passions. When I left Italy for Austria, I met a waitress at my hotel, and she recommended a local ayurvedic resort to help me get my health back. I was so desperate that I went and checked in later that day.

Everyday we use a multitude of products to stay beautiful. We begin our day with a shower. In our shower we use soap, shower gel, face wash, shampoo, conditioner, shave gel, even body scrub. So far that is 6 products alone and you have not even gotten out of the shower yet!

Dry off and use even more products. To stay dry and fresh we use deodorant and body powder. Now to moisturize. Body lotion, face moisturizer, foot lotion. Now on to the hair. Of course we washed it, next step is to dry and style it. We may use leave-in conditioner, mousse, gel, smoothing crème, and hair spray. Now we blow dry.

Oh yes… did I mention tooth brushing? We use toothpaste and mouthwash to freshen our mouths. Are we done yet?? Not quite. If you’re a woman, you now apply make-up and for the finishing touch a spritz of perfume.

Whew! Tired yet? Did you lose count of all the products you’ve used so far? I know I have. Everything you’ve used so far contains many ingredients you might know nothing about. All you know is that they do what they say they’re going to do. But what exactly are we risking to look so beautiful each day?

Everyday we go through this routine without thinking. Most of the personal care products we use contain synthetic ingredients. These toxins can and do cause disease. From cancer to Alzheimer’s to skin conditions, it is simply not worth the risk. Your skin absorbs these compounds right into your blood stream. It goes directly to your organs, causing damage. The more you use the product, the greater the risk of damage.

I’ve found that this is the best skin cream for my body. I spent too much time in the sun at the beach, on boats, and skiing. Organic Body Butter actually GOT RID of the dry saggy skin on my legs. I’ve been using it for over a year and a half on a daily basis especially after washing or at the beach. Love it!

2. Yes Ultimate EFAs

I use this plant based Omega-3 and 6 for general good health. I could tell it increased my energy level and helped to prevent depression. Not only does it contain the essential fats I need, but also helps fight inflammation when that becomes an issue. Another great source of Omega-3 is krill oil. Instead of the usual over-the-counter fish oil, I use Mercola krill oil.  http://products.mercola.com/krill/

fatigue

Your adrenal glands are each no bigger than a walnut and weigh less than a grape, yet are responsible for one of the most important functions in your body: managing stress.

“The adrenals are known as ‘the glands of stress,’” writes James Wilson in his book Adrenal Fatigue: The 21st Century Stress Syndrome. “It is their job to enable your body to deal with stress from every possible source, ranging from injury and disease to work and relationship problems. Your resiliency, energy, endurance and your very life all depend on their proper functioning.”[1]

When your adrenal glands are fatigued, a condition known as adrenal fatigue or adrenal exhaustion, your entire body feels it and suffers from extreme exhaustion as well.

It’s estimated that up to 80 percent of adults experience adrenal fatigue during their lifetimes, yet it remains one of the most under-diagnosed illnesses in the United States.[2]

We all suffer from STRESS and OVER DOING IT at some point of our life. Even having baby, losing a job, a death in a family can trigger huge stress issues in our body. Well, I over did it for many years (just by worrying, working, working out to much-basically trying to hard) and my body just shut down about 3 years ago. I went to every doctor you could imagine, I started with alternative medicines then went to western medicine then back to alternative medicine for almost 3 years. I literally couldn't get up or out of bed for months, I had no energy, and many more symptoms like constipation, swelling, hours of sleeping but couldn't sleep at all from1:00am-4:00 am.

I finally found a book called Adrenal Fatigue and  I learned I was suffering from Adrenal Exhaustion. I had suffered from this for most of my life too, I found out. SO I started on my rampage of fixing myself. I started with many vitamins, then did lots of detox's which eliminated all chemicals from my home and body, allergy testing, started armour thyroid and acupuncture. Everything worked SLOWLY,  I tried many many ways of healing and these are my favorite things that WORKED the best for stress, any kind of stress!

I've had allergies my whole life and its been really health debilitating. My worst allergies are dust and mold, every time I went to try put on clothes in my closet I'd get sick with itchy eyes and a burning throat. I grew up in Marin County California where hay fever would hit me hard as well, not counting food allergies! So last summer, when I literally couldn't breath in Illinois, I started doing allergy testing called provocation-neutralization testing.
